UNDP Representatives Visit Aruba

Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes met with United Nations Development Programme representatives Mr. Magdy Martinez-Soliman and Mrs. Sharifa Ali-Abdullah this past week. This year, Mr. Magdy Martinez-Soliman was appointed the Resident Representative a.i. of UNDP in Trinidad and Tobago, Suriname, Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten with Mrs. Sharifa Ali-Abdullah as Assistant Resident Representative. UNDP is a partner of Aruba on the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 Agenda and collaborates with the SDG commission of the country. They came to Aruba on a familiarization visit and met many representatives of the public and private sector, civil society, and academia. They also spoke with the Prime Minister and the council of ministers on how the UNDP can assist Aruba with economic development, social protection and poverty eradication.
