One Year As Prime Minister Of Aruba

A year ago, Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes took the oath as the first female Prime Minister of Aruba. Since that day, she has governed our nation firmly and kindly, putting the people of Aruba first, through her desire and courage to make a difference. The mission of her first year in Government was to rebuild confidence. Confidence of the Aruban people in government; confidence of international partners, especially the Dutch Kingdom, in Aruba; confidence of visitors and investors in our one happy island. Although much has been done in this first year, there is still much more to be done. The Prime Minister aims to create better opportunities for all citizens and to build solid foundations for the younger generations, enabling them to thrive in an uncertain future characterized by exponential change. The Prime Minister counts on the support of the Aruban citizens to accomplish what needs to be done to improve the welfare and wellbeing of each Aruban citizen.
