Prime Minister's meeting with European Union representative

During a visit to Sint Maarten, Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes had the opportunity to have a bilateral meeting with a representative of European Union Miss Jolita Butkeviviene. Miss Butkeviciene is Directorate-General for international Cooperation and Development of the European Commission.

European Union has been collaborating with Aruba on different projects, such as Mo-B-Lab, the Mobile Makerspace. The Mo-B lab is visiting different after-school programs on the island and gives kids the opportunity to experiment with different new technologies. Mo-b Lab has also been attending different events around the island, such as the Education Fair and the Atech conference. The European Union is also assisting Aruba with establishing a STEM faculty at University of Aruba. The University of Aruba has law, economics and finance programmes, however this will be their first science program. This program will open doors for a lot of students hoping to further their studies in the STEM field.
