International Women’s Day 2019

Aruba, March 2019 – On International Women’s day, the Prime Minister of Aruba attended a conference dedicated to empowering women on the island. Various speakers shared their perspectives and insights, through enriching stories of transformation and success, words of encouragement and life lessons.

The Prime Minister of Aruba was a speaker at this event, among other influential women on the island, including the Minister of Finance, Xiomara Ruiz-Maduro, Division Manager at the Central Bank of Aruba, Amalin Flanegin and Chief Innovation Officer of the Government of Aruba, Varelie Croes.

Held every year, The Women’s conference aims to honor all the influential women on Aruba, and to empower and inspire more women to become innovators and architects of change.This year’s theme was “Balance for Better”, celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It was an opportunity for women to hear uplifting messages, develop friendships, gain new insights, and network with influential women.It was a great opportunity to drive gender balance across the island, as balance is essential for economies and communities to thrive.
